Sash CD Enhanced Single -------------------- This CD ENHANCED runs in 256 colours(8Bit). For optimum quality run in millions of colours(32 Bit). Windows 95 users ---------------- The disc should Autorun when the disc is inserted into the CD-ROM drive, if it doesn't the Autorun facility may be disabled in Windows. To manually start or restart this CD Extra disc just double click the Icon. If when the CD starts to load, a windows error occurs, the most likely cause will be that your system is not configured correctly to read this type of disc. This can be fixed in most cases. Possible solutions to this problem are as follows. 1) Ensure that your system is only loading Windows95 and not WIN 3.X CD-ROM drivers. You must delete the line referring to the CD-ROM driver in the Config.sys file. Consult your hardware documentation for the name of the CD-ROM Driver. To edit the Config.sys through Windows95 follow this procedure. i) Click the START button on the Windows95 bar. ii) Click on RUN, then type sysedit and click OK. iii) Select the CONFIG.SYS Window and make the necessary changes iv) Click on FILE and then SAVE on the menu. v) Exit the System configuration Editor by clicking on FILE and then EXIT on the menu, then restart your computer. 2) Ensure that you have a CD-ENHANCED Compatible CD-ROM Drive. All CD-ROM Drives manufactured since December 1995 should be 100% compatible. Earlier CD-ROM Drives may require a software driver update. Windows NT 4.0 users -------------------- Operation under NT4.0 is the same as under Windows '95 although we have experienced a certain amount of unreliability running CD Extra discs on this version. Windows 3.x users ----------------- CD Extra discs were not designed to run under Windows 3.x although if you can read this file you are one of the lucky people who've got a CD-ROM drive which to some extent supports CD Extra discs. You should be able to start the disc by double clicking the PC.EXE Icon. Windows 3.x NOTES: 1. In order for the video to play you must have Video for Windows installed on the computer. This is available in the \VFW folder on the CD. Run \VFW\SETUP.EXE to install it. 2. Some CD-ROM drives will fail when attempting to play the CD Audio tracks from the CD Extra menu. You must either upgrade the CD-ROM drive or the Operating system. Macintosh Users --------------- CD Extra discs require Apple CD-ROM extensions later than version 5.1.1, without these you will not be able to access the CD Extra track (you will not be able to read this either!). Your Mac must have Quicktime installed in order to play the video track on this disc. This may be installed from the Quicktime folder on the CD. General Notes ------------- Sound problems: If CD Audio cannot be heard make sure that your computer has it's CD Audio cables connected to the sound card. Try plugging headphones onto the front socket of the CD-ROM drive if it has one. Video sound problems: Check the mixer panel for your sound card or sound control, adjust the levels to suit. Slow loading/playback of the CD Extra track: Try adjusting the screen resolution or number of colours to a lower setting.
